Update: Still in Korea, Still Alive

I just realized that it's been a very long time since my last post. We've almost been in Korean for nine months, and the longer we're here, the less exciting things I have to share. However, there is one very exciting item I need to disclose: It's summer! (Sort of, well it's actually quite cold today, but it's been summer for the past two weeks).

When we first came to Ingu, our co-teacher told us that there are two seasons in this area: Winter and Summer. That seems accurate. There wasn't really a fall when we got here. It was the end of August and it was warm enough to wear shorts, then it was cold enough to wear a coat, scarf, and boots. After living through what seemed to be an eternity of freezing weather, we turned around one day to find ourselves sweating and in need of a wardrobe change: back to shorts. We didn't have a cool spring. We had a cold winter and now we are having a hot summer.

So, that's what we've been doing lately. Enjoying the hot summer. We try to spend as much time as possible outside, taking advantage of the fact that we live at the beach. The weekends go a little something like this: read on the beach, walk on the beach, sleep on the beach, repeat. It's a hard life.

It's really amazing that the ocean is this beautiful, considering the amount of trash we've seen on the beach and in the water.
And just for fun, here are some goats that we passed on the way to work.
